In Hinduism, Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Mother Goddess or Durga. The words "maa" and "mata" are commonly used in India for "mother", and thus are often used in connection with Vaishno Devi.
The words "mandir" and "mandira" are commonly used in India for "Hindu temple", and so these words are also often used in connection with Vaishno Devi. Vaishno Devi Mandir (Hindi: वैष्णोदेवी मन्दिर) (Punjabi: ਵੈਸ਼ਨੋ ਦੇਵੀ ਮੰਦਰ) is one of the holy Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti, located at the Trikuta Mountains within the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Vaishno devi is one of 108 shakti peetha, the story of Vaishno Devi is found in Chanddi up-purana. When Vishnu Bhagwan cuts Sati Maa's body into 108 peethas then 52 body parts fell onto earth atmosphere and rest of the 56 fell on other planets. Out of which the "Blessing Hand" of Goddess Sati had fallen on "Planet Venus" or Shukra. Goddess Lakshmi is considered to be the ruling planet of Shukra hence also known as Goddess of Venus. But in the beginning of Treta Yug, there was a devil called "Mur", he got the boon from Brahma that he cannot be killed by any human being, god, trinity, or any one born on Earth.

Day 1 : Arrival Jammu – Katra
On arrival at Jammu airport / railway station you will be transfer to Katra . Overnight stay in Hotel at Katra
Day 2 : Mata Vaishnodevi Darshans
After breakfast drop to Katra Helipad on time,leave for holy shrine of Mata vaishnodevi temple and arrive at Sanjichat.The walk upto shrine is 2.5 kms from the Sanjichat .Complete yatra after visiting Bhairon nath Temple 2.6 kms from the shrine. Return to Sanjichat to take the helicopter back to katra. Overnight stay in hotel at Katra
Day 03: Katra – Jammu
After breakfast Drop to Jammu railway station / Airport & bring back home.

The Vaishno Devi temple is recognized as one of the "Shakti Peeths" of goddess ' Durga'.This holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi which is situated in the folds of mighty 'Tirkuta' Hills' attracts lakhs of devotees from all parts of India and abroad .
People who visit the shrine constitute a heterogeneous profile comprising of wealthy & poor, aged & young, males & females from within and outside the country. The Shrine of goddess 'Vaishno Devi' is reached by an arduous climb.
The scenic beauty, the landscape around and the constant chanting of 'Jai Mata Di', leaves a mystic effect on the devotees. At the culmination of their pilgrimage the devotees are blessed with the 'Darshans' of the deity in her three manifestations as three Pindies, located inside the sanctum- sanatorium, which is open for the devotees through out the year in all seasons.
It is truly a spiritually uplifting experience to witness the faith of the devotees, who are motivated to the heart by three words being chanted since the ages.
